English for lawyers course
Our legal English course is designed for newly-qualified lawyers, law students, practising lawyers and legal professionals who need to utilise English in their work. Our Legal language programme focuses on developing effective and accurate usage of Legal English in practicing law.
At Headway, learning how to communicate in a legal environment and developing your law related vocabulary, writing strategies and techniques are key targets for every lesson. The programme gives clients the opportunity to extend their language skills, increase fluency in professional contexts and prioritise their individual learning needs.
The content of the programme will be determined by your level and requirements. Although some of the core study areas include:
- Appropriate use of vocabulary specific to your practice area
- Communication skills for: advising, giving opinions and group meetings
- Drafting letters, memorandums, agreements and contracts
